PREMIERE: Kabes Delivers A Punchy Trap Heater In ‘Surge’

by Steph Contant

Kabes is yet another producer making big waves in the ever-growing French beat-making scene. Despite only having a discography that dates back to earlier this year, the up-and-coming talent has already earned the praise from his fellow countrymen and other big names such as Capshun, So Sus and Laxcity. Through picturesque future beats to hard-hitting trap hits, Kabes’ versatility is sure to continue to attract new fans with every release.

I like to make a lot of different things, and the music style I create depends on my mood. Sometimes I want to make some bangers without thinking too much about chord progression, and sometimes I like to make emotional things. I like to experiment, to try a lot of new things and I think that if you know how to make many things in different styles, at the end of the day it will help you to make a really unique sound,” Kabes states about his approach to different styles. Today, we are ecstatic to premiere the French producer’s latest titled ‘Surge,’ a track that certainly falls on the banger end of the spectrum.

Stating L*o*J as a main inspiration for this track, Kabes uses Middle Eastern influences in the introduction to draw you in with hypnotizing chants and rhythmic percussion. Wasting no time, all sense of beauty disappears as a knocking trap beat comes to light at the thirty-second mark. Flowing between ethereal soundscapes and bass-driven sections with ease, Kabes has created a soon-to-be FUXWITHIT fan favourite with ‘Surge.’

With an EP on the way, we strongly recommend you add Kabes to your ones-to-watch list. In the meantime, don’t miss ‘Surge’ below.
