The ‘Speck’ EP takes us everywhere from introspective, hazy room head-nodding, into full on hanging out of the coupe on a Saturday night with the gang in a seamlessly progressive three track selection that blends top notch hip hop lyricism with outstanding sound design in a rare and inspiring format that urges listeners to expand and explore their ever so distant music horizons.
The unreal production work done by West coast bass wizards Trobjorn & Subduktion, pairs so well with Nurries’ diverse, thoughtful, and at times reckless abandon for the English languagem it makes one wonder why this type of music hasn’t a genre unto itself for years now. All we can hope for is to see much, much more of it.
