Deadbeats are undoubtedly one of the hottest electronic record labels right now, and label bosses Zeds Dead are no strangers to pushing the boundaries. Zeds Dead has pulled inspiration from traditional elements of electronic and dubstep to paint soundscapes like none other. This time the pair team up with arguably one of the hottest up and coming names in Drum and Bass. Urbandawn, the Brazilian native, has seen success in the international drum and bass scene since his first release with Hospital Records, but more recently his bass-heavy rendition of ‘Come Together’ has seen placement in sets across U.S. festivals. These three come together to give America a taste of what is to come with ‘Sound Of The Underground’.
The tone is set right out of the gate with a lead grimy synth centered around pounding kick. As we approach the forty-five-second mark the muffled percussion of the intro gives way to a crystal clear collection of drum patterns in which you can make out the velocity of the drum hits, giving the track human qualities. From here we are lead into a heavy-hitting drop filled with masterfully designed synths that gives this track energy. After another quick buildup, we run into a violent half-time section before being dropped right back into a drum and bass frenzy. DnB is coming, so get prepared down below!
