Floret Loret blossomed from a SoundCloud and FUXWITHIT favourite to an industry mainstay in 2019. From releasing on labels such as Deadbeats and mau5trap to playing EDC Orlando and more festival announcements on the horizon, the Florida-based producer has infused his experimental sound within the masses. Conversely, despite having a relatively quiet last calendar year, the future of P A T H also looks promising, kicking the year off in high gear today with a collaboration alongside Floret Loret titled ‘Pact’ that we are ecstatic to premiere.
‘Pact’ is hauntingly beautiful from start to finish. When asked about where they were trying to send listeners with this one, Floret Loret states, “a place to escape – it’s a very dark track with euphoric elements.” P A T H adds, “I want it to invoke wonder in the listener and take them to a place they may not necessarily feel comfortable with at first, but learn to love in the end.” The two artists have executed this feeling to perfection.
Originally beautiful through its melodiousness and ethereal aura, ‘Pact’ soon becomes sombre and sinister as punches of bass are added into the fold. As the track reaches its climax, these twisted and aggressive sounds are jolted to the forefront, as the influences from both Floret Loret and P A T H compliment each other to a tee. Experimental in nature yet not too otherworldly, ‘Pact’ highlights the strengths of both producers and delivers bass and beauty in perfect harmony. Don’t miss it below.
