PREMIERE: Jon Casey Unleashes Metallic Fury In ‘Kosher’

by Steph Contant

2020 is the year Jon Casey takes over. Already boasting releases on Elysian Records and Music High Court and currently making his way through North America decimating every night club in his path, the South African producer is having a massive year and it’s not even March. Most producers take breaks after releasing a hefty body of work in order to recharge and gain new inspiration. Jon Casey was only getting started when Flora & Fauna came out last November. Continuing his unprecedented streak, the talented artist returns to Quality Goods Records today with their ninth treat titled ‘Kosher’ and this one is a certified banger.

Put simply, “this song is a trap track to get people’s head moving… something to turn up to,” Jon Casey says about his latest. He couldn’t have been any more accurate.

Listeners are immediately transported to the depths of the Amazon upon pressing play as tribal drums create a jungle-like atmosphere before distant effects add to this feel. Wasting no time, Jon Casey unleashes madness with a trap arrangement highlighted by metallic stabs and snappy percussion. Despite hitting hard and quick, ‘Kosher’ retains an underlying swing that further showcases Jon Casey’s knack for creating a well-rounded heater. The energy never dies in ‘Kosher’ as a second drop more dynamic and rambunctious than the first closes out the highly impressive track. Don’t miss the monster of a tune below.
