Bobby McKeon also known as 4B, has perfected his original and bass-driven sound which has expanded across the globe. Beginning his career performing at local teen nights around his area and hosting his own parties throughout New York and New Jersey, 4B is a talented and motivated producer who we consistently look up to in the music industry. Throwing it back to his iconic release of ‘Pop Dat’ which completely took over the festival scene in 2015. After playing his legendary Hulk Gang set with Valentino Khan at this year’s EDC Las Vegas, 4B is bringing it back to his roots by calling upon Damian Avila for their new heater ‘Drum.’

With the tempo up a notch, hard-hitting basslines and echos of vocals start to bring the bounce into the picture. 4B is coming for the charts with ‘Going Nowhere.’ Linking up with rapper Trippie Redd, the two deliver a moving bop that fuses rap, trap and club. Trippie’s tuned vocals set the tone giving it some anthem potential. The drops are where this one truly shines through. Throughout the years, 4B has become synonymous with Jersey club music and has helped launch the genre into spaces we could have never imagined. With festival bangers like ‘Pop Dat’ and ‘Whistle,’ the Jersey native has amassed a discography that shows a mastery of multiple genres through bass music. Recently, we’ve seen 4B branch out with a more pop-oriented release with his collaboration with Chris Brown, ‘Did You’. This time, the seasoned veteran teams up with a well-established pop-star in Austin Mahone and the young legend in Latin music, Abraham Mateo, to give us ‘Lucid.’ These releases speak to the versatility in 4B’s arsenal and are a statement that the 4B project continues to evolve.

We begin by being introduced to the main melody, played by pleasing plucked strings and hypnotizing vocalizations from Austin Mahone. We’re immediately thrown into a soulful verse by Austin Mahone, where the young pop sensation shows off his impressive vocal range, effortlessly moving in and out of falsetto. Almost out of nowhere, the track is taken over by a pounding kick and satisfying vocal chopping that adds, even more spirit to this already soulful record. Robert McKeon Jr., better known as 4B, may only be 26 years old, but he has already been honing his musical skills for nearly half of his life. Performing at local teen nights around his area and hosting various parties throughout New York and New Jersey, 4B began to build his imprint in the industry by showcasing his unique and meticulous production style. His 2015 release of ‘Pop Dat’ with Aazaar quickly took over the festival scene and provided a new filthy anthem filled with aggressive slaps and wonky frequencies to bring out all those trap-enthusiasts to the dance floor. Giving you another hard-hitting track filled with urban and trap influences, 4B and ACRAZE may have just murdered the scene with ‘Bang Bang’

Opening with a serenading instrumental intertwined with rap vocals and stabbing percussion, it is time to bring out those bandannas for this one. As 4B’s signature sound becomes apparent with reverberating bass lines and assaulting synths, it’s almost as if you are shifting different levels through a taste of slow tempo madness. With a hint of jersey drums and low pitched instrumentals ringing throughout the single, 4B is only giving you a taste of what is to come for winter festival season. Herobust Recruits JSTJR, Oski, Hydraulix, Willy Joy, 4B + More For ‘Vertebreaker’ Remixes EP

Earlier this year, Herobust unleashed one of the most inventive and impressive EPs of the year. So it’s only fitting that when he decided to drop a remix EP, he selected artists that could live up to the OG. Vertebreaker Remixes kicks off with his own VIP of ‘Move Mint’ before moving into a maddening midtempo rework of the title track from JSTJR. Yultron and Protohype keep it filthy and industrial with remixes of ‘Dirt Heater Tea’ and ‘Heavy Meddle’ respectively. Hydraulix and Oski take on the project’s most adventurous work with a flip of ‘Status Busted.’ Hydroski are more than up to the task, delivering a brain-bending deep bass trap slapper. The project closes with two drastically different cuts. 4B’s ‘Move Mint’ flip is as violent and ugly (in a good way) as it gets, while Willy Joy’s ‘Just Dawn Hue’ sounds like an MDMA-induced love trip in a video game world.
