Consistent with his style but never shying away from innovation, Calcium has steadily grown into the massive shoes that he has had to fill following the astronomical success of ‘Mega Punch‘ in early 2019. With a signature that is easily distinguishable among a sea of dubstep producers, Mr. Teeth N’ Bones has made his round across the biggest labels in bass music, and for good reason. Calcium concoctions are menacing, high-octane bass brutes that are relentless in approach and unforgiving to your neck.

Coming off one of his most impressive collections to date in the Dissolve EP, Calcium now returns to Never Say Die with a monster single that sticks to the theme of his usual sound, but simultaneously goes beyond that. One track, five drops, almost five minutes of pure madness. Don’t let the brief, light-hearted introduction fool you. Calcium quickly ramps up the intensity with haunting notes and his quintessential rolling percussion before unleashing nearly two minutes of uninterrupted insanity in the form of three unique sections, all offering a different style of mind-melting frequencies but each complimenting the last to a tee. ‘Deep Streets’ is Calcium at his finest, with a clear display of his boundary-pushing mentality shining throughout the piece. Don’t miss it below.

Boasting a terrorizing sound capable of destroying the strongest of foundations, MARAUDA has quickly catapulted to the top of dubstep scene through a relentless approach to heavy music. With releases on some of the biggest labels in the game such as Never Say Die and Disciple Round Table, the Sydney-based producer has proven his strengths time and time again, but he has recently started to release music on his own personal imprint, Malignant Music. Prior to last week, only he had put out music on the label, but all that has now changed in massive fashion. Opening the platform to fellow heavy-hitters, Malignant Music has unleashed its debut compilation titled Malignant Vol. 1, and it’s bigger and better than one could even fathom.

What do you get when you take the hottest names in the dubstep scene, round up some of their most anticipated unreleased material, and package it all into one devastating ensemble? The answer is Malignant Vol. 1. One might think this is an exaggeration, but a quick look through the tracklist reveals the true catastrophic nature of this compilation. From the label-head himself releasing the guttural ‘Laryngitis’ and the ridiculous ‘Blunder 2.0,’ to Aweminus and Subfiltronik finally delivering their highly-awaited ‘Subminus,’ veterans are well-represented in Malignant Vol. 1. Add to that some boundary-pushing up-and-comers such as Hukae, Papa Khan and SYZY, as well as established big guns Calcium and Krischvn, and one gets the debut Malignant Music compilation. Don’t miss it below.

When ‘Insane’ was first teased in Calcium‘s Teeth N’ Bones Vol. 4 mix late last year, we were blown away by the monstrous impact of the track. The pairing of the soothing vocals that build the energy gradually from a melody-driven piece to a catastrophic dubstep banger is unparalleled in today’s sound design-focused scene, and we’ve been itching for the full release ever since. Luckily, the anticipation was not too drawn out, as ‘Insane’ with Dion Timmer is out today in full and exceeds all expectations.

The introduction seems heavily influenced by Dion Timmer, as ethereal synths and the processing of Celestic’s vocals are taken right from his repertoire. Long but not drawn out, the opening sets the stage for the insanity (no pun intended) that follows, as Calcium’s influence comes to light around the seventy-five-second mark. A crisp build up brings about the chaos that both producers are known to deliver, with maniacal gunshots and rattling basses driving ‘Insane’ forward. In the second half of the track, the essence of the introduction returns before additional madness is unleashed.

A well-rounded track balancing beauty and chaos, ‘Insane’ is sure to become a 2020 favourite. Don’t miss it below.

A terrible fate, or as Calcium and Hekler like to call it, ‘Doom’. With the former quickly establishing himself among the greats with heavy-hitting releases such as ‘Mega Punch‘ and his recent Skull Vault EP, and the latter consistently blurring lines between dubstep and trap in tracks like ‘Wraith‘ and ‘404‘, it was only a matter of time until the two rising stars came together to unleash a beast of epic proportions.

First teased in Calcium’s Teeth N’ Bones Vol. 3 mix, the two promised to drop the collaboration if each of their respective tweets reached 500 retweets earlier this week. Bass fans around the world jumped at the opportunity of hearing the collaboration as the tweets quickly reached their targets, leading us to the impending ‘Doom’, out today on Never Say Die.

Straight off the bat, Calcium’s signature synths and percussion are heard, quickly building up to a climax of a barrage of gunshot-like stabs. The ear-shattering frequencies and monstrous sound design flex only continue to grow stronger as the track progresses, as Calcium and Hekler’s strengths are complimented in the drops. Showcasing their rapid evolution as sound maestros, the pair of producers play with tempo and timing in the second half, sure to leave dubstep fans awe-struck and fully satisfied.

Don’t miss ‘Doom’ below and stay tuned for Hekler’s upcoming What The Hek EP, out on April 26th.

Fittingly regarded as ‘Mr. Teeth N’ Bones,’ dubstep newcomer Calcium has left a wake of chaos and destruction as he swiftly develops into one of the most promising styles within the realm of dubstep. The massive To The Bone EP released via Bassweight Records provided the initial impetus to kick the wheels in motion last spring, as tracks like ‘F.W.Y.S.’ and ‘Damn Son’ have made rounds decimating crowds in the festival circuit, only furthering the anticipation and excitement behind Calcium’s requisition for bass eccentricity.

Further pursuing his bass odyssey, Calcium returns to Never Say Die: Black Label with the Skull Vault EP, following up on his massive single ‘Mega Punch’ released earlier this year on the imprint. With a sound that becomes more recognizable with every release, the calcareous heavy-hitter pushes dubstep to new barriers in Skull Vault, laying a strong foundation of quality releases that he is sure to build upon in the future.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/586997892″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Kicking things off in full force, ‘Crusher’ is a colossal embodiment of Calcium’s unique yet monstrous sound. Eerie effects and a sinister melody induce goosebumps from the beginning before the true madness is unleashed. The producer’s distinct chainsaw-esque synths and gnarly stab layering shine at the forefront of the drops, without forgetting his usual skull-shattering percussion.

Wielding production diversity with ease, a whirling digital melody beckons forebodingly as an ethereal riser pierces the air, wavering delicately and setting an ominous stage for ‘Comply’. A grainy, throbbing vocal sample lingers momentarily before erupting into a chaotic surge of pulverizing bass and wonky synth jabs.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/587965152″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Quebec City-native and maestro of minimalist riddim flow, FLIX talents for weaving subtle percussion patterns within catastrophic walls of bass elects him as a deadly candidate for the standalone collaboration from the project. A playful, undulating accordion presents a warm embrace as pulses of bass thunder in the backdrop of ‘Turn It Up’. The tempo of the track expedites rampantly as frenzied drumroll launches crisply into calamitous heaves of pressurized bass and expertly placed beat breaks.

Capping things the project off as hard as he kicked it off, Calcium makes a statement with the fourth and final track of Skull Vault. Perhaps his wonkiest track to date, ‘Break This Down’ sways heavily toward the melodic side, before Calcium flexes new sounds and synths in the drops, while also playing with drum timing to give the project a fresh conclusion.

Although he has been around for a few years, Calcium really established himself as the real deal last year with his gnarly ‘F.W.Y.S’ alongside Pi$ces on his To The Bone EP. The heavy-hitting producer’s breakout year only continued to grow, as he later appeared on Never Say Die with an official remix for Hekler and Gladez’s ‘404’ before going on to remix LAXX’s ‘Fake Friends‘. These are but a few of the highlights of Calcium’s extensive accomplishments from the previous calendar year, and the cadaverous artist is showing no signs of slowing down in 2019.

Today, Calcium makes his original debut on Never Say Die: Black Label with a tune that dubstep fans have been eagerly awaiting since its appearance on the NSD Vol. 6 mix. Since then, Calcium dropped it in his Noiseporn mix, before Subtronics teased it in his ‘That’s What I Call Riddim Vol. 4’ mix. Needless to say, everyone is stoked for ‘Mega Punch’. An upbeat introductory melody kicks off the Earth-shattering journey that follows. Calcium quickly changes the flow of the track with a robotic vocal samples, before all hell breaks loose. Punchy percussion is accentuated by filthy synths to get you headbanging in an instant, and a hasty switch up leads listeners into sound design madness that will leave you both speechless and breathless. If that wasn’t enough, the second drop will have you falling out of your chair.

Don’t miss ‘Mega Punch’ below and be sure to follow Calcium as he is bound to have a wild year.
