PREMIERE: Kendrick Lamar’s ‘DNA’ Receives Icy Rework From cultz

cultz landed on our radar after two ill collabs (‘brackin’ & ‘covfefe’) with FUXWITHIT favorite wevor trill. Today he stands out on his own with a killer flip of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘DNA’. The track opens with a sample from the video version along with stuttered and pitched vocal samples. The chops carry throughout the remix and are accompanied by sinister bass, snapping drum work and icy loops. We asked cultz what made him have to put his own spin on the track, “Ever since DNA was a chart topping single off of DAMN, the constant kept rhythmic pattern throughout the entire song definitely caught my ear and stuck with me and I knew I’d want to create something with it one day.” Thankfully for us, that day has come.
