From my very first Shambhala Music Festival in 2017, catching the legend Caroline Cecil absolutely kill the stage, I knew this talented artist was about to rise quickly to the top of the music industry. Today, WHIPPED CREAM continues to work her magic and enrich fans with positive vibes through her music. By being one of the fastest-growing female artists in the industry, Cecil is proud to share her emotions and voice her opinions during her live sets and flawlessly reflects this within her music. Her sense of realness and acceptance truly resonates through her unique sound and not to mention the full force of bass provided. Marking a new chapter in her impressive career, after a year-long hiatus WHIPPED Cream is letting her light shine with Jimorrow for ‘Light Of Mine.’

Feeling a sense of creative empowerment and encouraging her listeners to never hold back and let their light shine, the track takes vocal samples from a childhood classic. Transforming into a catchy single infused with cinematic soundscapes and hard-hitting bass, these producers’ uplifting energy continues to fuel us even through the darkest of days. Releasing on the Canadian imprint known as Monstercat, WHIPPED Cream has proven once again that her ability to master several genres is one of the reasons why we cannot get enough of her production style.

Traveling back to 2017, Monstercat took a huge chance and hosted their first-ever block party called Monstercat Compound. Showcasing some of the most unique talents within the heart of Vancouver. A major step for not only the label itself but also their artists. Being such a huge success, they’ve continued to host it throughout the years. Spreading nothing but positivity and good music overall. But sadly, with the world being in complete disarray last year, they had to take a break to ensure the utmost safety for everyone. Now, with the help of Westwood Recordings, they’ve brought their everlasting event back to Canada once again this year for their fourth installment!

To celebrate their return to the big stage, Monstercat has introduced their first-ever label collaboration which honors the whole event and its major achievements. They call it, Compound 2021. And with Westwood Recordings helping to curate this beautiful lineup, it’s hard to not be totally stoked for what lies within! Artists such as The Funk Hunters, So Sus, Akylla and more have all participated to add to this wonderful movement and vision. All creating individual works of art to add to this incredible achievement. An eight-track body of work, honoring brand new up and comers as well as the veterans. Whatever style you’re into within electronic music, there’s something for everyone!

Monstercat Compound has always been such a special event for me, as it allows us to showcase what the organization is all about in my hometown of Vancouver. The Compilation was created to celebrate the incredible talent that Canada has to offer with our global community. I am thrilled to be collaborating with Westwood Recordings on this project, as the impact that they have made on the West Coast electronic music community was a real inspiration for me when I first started working in the industry. – Orri Sachar, Director of Music, Monstercat

The Compound 2021 compilation is a gorgeous new installation that commemorates the service both Monstercat and Westwood Recordings have brought to the industry. From groovy house music, aggressive dubstep, and even some gnarly trap, you’ll have nothing but a healthy and overwhelming smile from each piece. All adding their special flair to spice up this incredible dish of sound and rhythm. Resulting in one of the most memorable compilations of 2021. Each track flows into the next naturally. All the artists and team members should be truly proud of themselves. We’re stoked to hear what’s next for everyone. So make sure to go support these icons by streaming the Compound 2021 compilation everywhere!

Few have honed in on their branding as well and as consistently as Eptic. From his sound, to his visual identity, to his undeniable comedic talents, Eptic is a pinnacle example of how to play the industry marketing game – and the fact that his music is killer certainly doesn’t hurt. Returning to Monstercat with his third single of the year, Eptic continues to display a masterclass of ingenuity with ‘Payback,’ opting to dive into the realm of drum and bass for the first time in years.

“‘Payback’ is the first drum & bass song I’ve made in 7 years. With this song I want to pay homage to the jump up style that got me into producing. I have more respect than I already had for dnb producers since it was so difficult to get it right,” Eptic says about his newest release. Accompanying the track is another humorous clip featuring Average Rob and Computron, where the Belgian creative truly steps outside of the branding box to create unparalleled hype for ‘Payback.’

Aside from the artistic gold surrounding the track, ‘Payback’ itself is a welcome refresher in Eptic’s sound as he stays true to his signature while exploring a different genre. A high-octane introduction featuring a menacing electric guitar riff sets the stage for the madness that follows, as Eptic quickly builds the track to a suspenseful climax. As the drop hits, the flames from the opening only grow stronger as the intensity is cranked up a few notches, with those distinct robotic sounds taking the forefront over crisp, rhythmic percussion.

‘Payback’ is Eptic at his finest. Don’t miss it below.

Rome in Silver has been a FUXWITHIT favourite for a few years now, and following his journey through sound has been nothing short of spectacular. Touching on a variety of genres with incredible ease, the California-based producer has impressed time and time again through his ability to innovate within the grand scope of electronic music, recently honing in on a groovy take on future bass that is downright infectious. With his Like Lightning EP from May demonstrating this style to a tee, Rome in Silver set the bar high for future projects, and many were awaiting the direction he decided to take on his newest project, Forever Flame.

Simply put, Forever Flame meets and exceeds expectations. The project as a whole transcends genres to a new level, and on Rome in Silver standards, that says a lot. As you get a full taste for this impressive display of creativity with the full project out via Monstercat, we have the pleasure of premiering ‘Get Lost’ here today, and as the track from the ensemble that is arguably best suited for our audience, we couldn’t be more excited.

‘Get Lost’ is a masterful showcase of Rome in Silver’s ability to fuse a variety of influences into one cohesive piece, with an overtone of drum and bass driving the show. In a similar approach to ‘Glass‘, Rome in Silver constructed ‘Get Lost’ with uplifting layers and energetic melodies, while giving his drops wicked intensity and flavour in a fashion that is uniquely his. Rome in Silver decided to cap off the Forever Flame EP with epic zeal, and we’re certain this is going to be a hit. Don’t miss ‘Get Lost’ below.

Following his groovy debut on Monstercat back in July, Rome in Silver is back on the coveted imprint today with the second single from his upcoming project, this time collaborating with Tails on the light-hearted ‘Forever.’

Earlier this month, Rome in Silver tweeted that his “next EP [is] gonna be a bit more commercial,” admitting that “some people may not vibe with it and that’s cool.” Not to put words in anyone’s mouths, but from what we’ve heard so far, we think it’s safe to say that this project is not a departure from the Rome in Silver sound that many have come to love, but moreso an evolution of the fun, refreshing essence that he has provided in recent years.

While ‘Friends’ is a genre-defying jam that blends elements of pop, future bass and beyond, ‘Forever’ is much more focused on musicality, with a repeated vocal looping throughout the track over a pristine instrumental backdrop. The piece does not provide major highs or lows in energy, but keeps listeners enthralled from start to finish due to its beautiful simplicity and cheerful bounce in the latter half.

Despite this being Rome in Silver’s first collaboration with a producer in six years, his chemistry with Tails is undeniable as the two have created a feel-good ballad sure to put a smile on your face. Don’t miss ‘Forever’ below.

Despite gracing us with an action-packed guest mix perfectly suited for an intense workout, Just A Gent‘s recent productions have strayed from this energy to encompass more meaningful, powerful soundscapes. From the refreshing ‘Time Voyage‘ to the ethereal ‘Open Spaces‘ with Nevve, the Australian producer has pushed a newfound melodic aspect to his sound and has embraced it to its full potential. With the recent release of his URCA EP on Monstercat, Just A Gent continues to show us all why he is regarded as one of the most versatile artists out right now.

Along with the aforementioned tracks, the URCA EP boasts three more vocal-driven pieces that bring listeners on a sonic journey. The opening and title track builds beautifully for over two minutes before a vibrant section adds knock and bounce to the orchestral piece. ‘Iris in the Dark’ continues along this theme, using McCall’s angelic vocals in the introduction to lure you in before a radiant section truly hooks you. ‘Wings’ caps off the project with vocals from Olivia Grace once again driving the track forward until a sparkling aura of melodies put you in a dream-like state.

Don’t miss the wonderful display of Just A Gent’s creative genius below.

Habstrakt is making a strong case as the most consistent producer of 2019. Averaging approximately one track per month since the turn of the new year, the flying Frenchman has solidified his infectious house sound with tracks such as ‘Control,’ ‘De La Street‘ and ‘Lasagne‘ on the most prominent labels in the game. Today, Habstrakt returns to Monstercat with ‘The One,’ his third single in as many months on the esteemed platform.

With an impending world tour sharing the same name, it’s only fitting that ‘The One’ is one of Habstrakt’s most electrifying tunes to date. First teased as the opening track to JOYRYDE’s wickedly entertaining EDC Las Vegas set, this latest single is quintessential Habstrakt with an added flair of grittiness. Similar to ‘Infinite,’ lead vocals really drive the introduction, building tension as every ominous note hits. As the drop arrives, you quickly understand how a tune boasting this much energy and vigour could catapult a crowd into a frenzy at a festival like EDC LV. ‘The One’ is pure bass house perfection, so dive in head first below!

Through singles on the hottest labels in the game such as Musical Freedom, CONFESSION, Monstercat and Gud Vibrations, the French bass legend has evolved his signature sound and become a true force in the hard-hitting house scene.

Now, the talented producer returns to Monstercat with ‘Lasagne,’ enlisting fellow Frenchmen Bellecour to deliver another whopping bass house heater. With the latter recently collaborating with Marshmello on Joytime III and releasing on CONFESSION, Sans Merci and IN / ROTATION, it comes as no surprise to see them team up with Habstrakt to continue their quest to the top. ‘Lasagne’ is everything one would expect from this powerhouse collaboration, yet it’s still not your average Italian meal. Delivering energetic percussion with an electro-influenced tempo and gritty basslines, ‘Lasagne’ is a dancefloor-friendly, energetic and funky fusion track that is sure to light up clubs until sunrise around the world.
