Jon Casey Gets Down And Dirty In ‘Rezonate’

by Steph Contant

Jon Casey is the product of undeniable motivation and raw talent. Last year was a monstrous period for the South African native as he unleashed a plethora of versatile heaters, leading the way for the trap renaissance that is imminent. Despite his most impressive body of work, the Flora & Fauna LP, coming in late November, Jon Casey has not slowed down his output, recently releasing ‘The Bounce‘ all while making his way around North America. Riding this momentum, the talented producer is back with another bop titled ‘Rezonate’ that embodies the sound that the creative mastermind has developed over the years.

‘Rezonate’ is a slow-builder, captivating your intrigue through ominous effects as looming percussion is gradually added to create more tension. As the fifty-second mark hits, the track takes a turn toward the gritty as Jon Casey curates a menacing section that blurs the lines between trap and experimental bass music. Retaining an underlying Jon Casey groove while simultaneously boasting a rugged feel, ‘Rezonate’ gets better with every listen. Don’t miss it below. Out now on Music High Court.
