Through six eclectic tracks, the LA-based producer reminded everyone of his innate ability to make anyone dance. Now, these tracks have received a remix treatment from a wide array of house music greats, with each lending their own style to the Valentino Khan originals.

CONFESSION label-head Tchami first graced our ears a couple of weeks back with his upbeat, groovy take on ‘JustYourSoul,’ before genre-defiant Eliminate flexed a fast-paced bass house twist to the tech-leaning ‘Pony.’ The collection of remixes is rounded out by Drezo, Born Dirty, Schade and Ibranovski – all names that are sure to make any house-lover jump with joy. With the former adding his signature dark touch to ‘Flip The Switch’ to the latter taking ‘Better’ to the depths of the jungle, the ensemble of remixes are as well-rounded as house music gets.

Finally emerging from the depths of his evil lair is the king of dark house, Drezo. With the release of his remix for Gesaffelstein’s ‘Aleph‘ late last year and the promise of more new music after a hiatus, fans have been anxiously awaiting the return of the LA-based producer. This week, Drezo’s announcement of his upcoming Omens EP series officially confirmed his return to regular releases.

“Excited to announce my new EP series, ‘Omens’. Each volume will represent the dark/industrial club sound I’ve built my project on while also giving me a space to release collabs with artists in the same realm,” Drezo states about his upcoming works. Perhaps this statement finally means we’ll get an official release of his elusive collaboration with Habstrakt, but that’s just mere speculation at this point. One certainty, however, is that Drezo is back and stronger than ever, with his first single ‘Afterlife’ being released today.

‘Afterlife’ is everything Drezo fans have been itching for: a dark, devilish house track true to his original sound that only gets more sinister as the track progresses. Drezo begins the track with an orchestral organ to depict the church trying to fight against the world’s evil, before this evil soon takes over and an unholy, malicious aura takes center stage. A constant battle between angels and demons, ‘Afterlife’ is sure to tear up any club dance floor. Check it out below!

It has been a quiet year for the king of darkness, sometimes referred to as Drezo. The LA-based artist has been promising fans new music on his socials for a minute now, and this itch for new content has only grown during his months of silence. However, the evil mastermind has been busy concocting a diabolic plan to unleash on the world. To the pleasure of many, that plan gets put in motion today with the release of his remix of ‘Aleph’ by Gesaffelstein.

Drezo leads off the track with the eerie ‘Aleph’ melody, staying true to the original while setting the stage for the sinister track that follows. Building tension with his signature percussion and rumbling basses, Drezo flips the script and unleashes a demonic drop highlighted by more of his unique synths and drums that made us fall in love with his sound years ago. One of the best dark house producers in the game, the talented artist uses his minimalist approach to mesmerize listeners for the entire five minutes.

Sources tell us we’re in store for more Drezo soon, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, check out his ‘Aleph’ remix below and grab the free download here.

Today up and coming producer Drezo decided to unleash his take on the track. From the very first bars you can tell you’re in for something new. An ominous intro is furthered by pitched-down vocals that are primed for late night sets. Vocal chops slide into a dank, bass heavy drop that’s entrenched in darkness. If the original is suited for the pool parties, this rework is meant for the basement clubs, well after midnight. Stream below. The ‘4 Real’ remix pack drops 3/25!

The convergence of rap and electronic music continues to result in new sounds and styles. One of my favorites right now is a blend of gritty deep house and familiar rap songs. From Dr. Fresch to Destructo and Samsoni there are a handful of producers doing it exceptionally well. New to join this list is Drezo, a 23 year old…

The convergence of rap and electronic music continues to result in new sounds and styles. One of my favorites right now is a blend of gritty deep house and familiar rap songs. From Dr. Fresch to Destructo and Samsoni there are a handful of producers doing it exceptionally well. New to join this list is Drezo, a 23 year old hailing from LA. He takes Lil Wayne’s anthematic ‘A Milli’ and twists it into a dark and sinister house track. Wayne’s bars serve as the voice of track clearly stating, “Motherfucker I’m ill.” Stream and free download below. Also be sure to check out his ‘Forgot About Dre’ remix.
